Ambitious climate action and unity displayed by private sector, labour, civil society and other stakeholders provides the support from actors in the economy that government needs in order to securely make bolder commitments to reduce the country’s emissions and build resilience to climate impacts and risks.
The Alliance encourages and supports members to advocate for change through making a bold commitment to work collectively toward a net carbon neutral economy by 2050 as well as to develop strong plans to reduce emissions .
FThe Alliance also provides a platform for members to keep abreast with the relevant developments and consultation processes in the policy space. The Alliance’s convening partners can hold briefing sessions for Alliance participants, and facilitate channels for members to take up the opportunities for input.
